Hair: The ballerina bun

We’re still drooling over the beauty look from Valentino’s Fall 2016 Runway Show. Super dewy skin and an effortless yet showstopping ballerina bun. It was really those whispy pieces that sat flat over the forehead that got us like…! So we asked our go to hair guru Jason Fassbender how we can all replicate this look at home…

This look in 3 words… Classic twist beauty

The ballerina bun is best suited to… Anyone wanting to let their outfit take centre stage! Oh, and for those moments when you didn’t get a chance to wash your hair!

How can we achieve this at home?
Load your damp hair with mousse and use a wide tooth comb to scrape your hair back into a mid-height ponytail. Twist the ponytail into a bun (you can add a donut for added volume if desired) and pin your bun into place.

Once your hair is dry, use the palm of your hand to buff the front hairline to create the flyways. Finish with a mist of hairspray to hold in place.

How do we make it last from day to night?
Creating the style from wet with mousse will lock it in until your ready to let it go!
