Spend 5: Abbey Swinn

Abbey Swinn. The kind of name you come across when you finally take the first steps towards adulting. You know, when you move out of home, start to pay your own bills and begin to priorities like a grown up. Bread, milk, wine and art become your new staples. Ok…just replace bread with Vogue. Then it comes to the finer details like furniture and functionality. Who needs chairs and a dining table when you can enjoy your magazine while sitting on the floor of your art-filled abode?

So as the story goes, during one of our regular Instagram researching sessions (we’re adults now, we need to justify time spent on social media) we came across Abbey Swinn. The Australian-based photographer’s artistic and perfectly curated monochrom-magic Instagram account stopped us in our tracks. I mean if you really want to excite us just drain the colour out of your feed and give us Christmas morning. But as it turns out there is much more to Abbey than artwork that will be filling up our walls. This name to watch not only brings magic into your homes but has worked with a pretty impressive list of fashion clientele. I mean when you get it, you just get it.

So 100+ photos deep and some serious spamming we did the only thing we know how to do. We spent 5 with the artist to watch.
