Name: Atilio Dusa
Occupation: Creative Director at Clip Joint Salons
It all began when: I started helping out at a local salon in Germany
Now it involves: Being the Creative Director of an amazing team at Clip Joint Salons and working in our newest Salon location on Rundle Street
Career Highlight: There are so many and Adelaide Fashion Festival is definitely at the top but other than that, New York Fashion week ranks very high
A typical day for me includes: A very early start, a gym class if I am lucky, and straight to work!
My hair ethos is: Embrace your natural beauty, and have a great hairdresser who helps bring out the best of it
My creativity comes from: My surroundings. Working in the city gives me inspiration every day, along with working with my talented team
My colleagues would describe me as: Driven, probably a workaholic and a travel addict
But I would say I am: Passionate and patient
My life in 3 words: Creative. Exciting. Busy!
AFF to me, means: Collaborating with a creative bunch of South Australians and working closely with the Clip Joint Salons Creative Team
AFF hair is going to be: Beautiful. This year it is all about bringing out the most feminine side
to each model
Designer I am looking forward to seeing: All of them – too hard to choose! Paolo Sebastian is always a highlight, especially because it is the last show of Adelaide Fashion Festival
The creative process for AFF includes: A lot of preparation and collaboration with the designers, stylists, and creative directors for AFF, along with the team from evo hair, who are the official hair product sponsors for AFF
The AFF team is: Dedicated to provide global looks
AFF in 3 words: Fabulous. Inspirational. Visual.
The week of AFF looks like: A lot of coffee and a lot more fun
I get by with a little help from: The Clip Joint Salons Creative Team and evo
Post AFF looks like: Work commitments abroad for the Asian Hairdressers Association, a much needed massage, catching up on sleep and then the Christmas rush for the salons!
Adelaide in 3 words: Vibrant. Cultured. Artistic.
On days off I like to hang: At a special location … but that’s a secret!
Best coffee in Adelaide: Penny University – Union Street
To chill out I: My down time is when I take holidays
I am looking forward to: What next year has in store and continuing to work with the AFF team in the future!
Life motto: Live everyday like it’s yours last.
